This page explains how to delete your PianoCloud Monitor account, operated by PianoCloud Corporation. You can request deletion directly from inside the app or by emailing our support team. Both paths result in the same outcome.
Option 1 — Delete From Inside the App (Fastest)
- Open the PianoCloud Monitor app on iOS or Android.
- Sign in to your account.
- Tap the Settings tab (gear icon in the bottom tab bar).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account is deleted immediately.
The in-app deletion path is available to every user at all times, including during a free trial or active subscription.
Option 2 — Delete by Email Request
If you cannot access the app (for example, you uninstalled it), email support@pianocloud.ai from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will process the request within 7 business days and confirm by reply when deletion is complete.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days:
- Account record (email address, display name, phone number, password hash)
- Linked DCM-1 device records (device IDs, pairings, custom device names)
- Push-notification tokens (Apple APNs / Google FCM)
- Subscription identifiers and purchase history tied to your user ID
- Support correspondence tied to your account
What May Be Retained
The following data may be retained for a limited time after deletion, solely to meet legal, tax, or anti-fraud obligations:
- Transaction records: required by U.S. tax law — retained for 7 years, then purged. These records do not contain your password or device telemetry.
- Anonymized telemetry: historical sensor readings from paired DCM-1 devices may be retained in aggregate form with all personal identifiers stripped. This data cannot be linked back to your identity after deletion.
- Audit logs: security-related events (login attempts, subscription changes) retained for 90 days, then purged.
Timeline
- In-app deletion: account is marked for deletion immediately; you are signed out; all personal data is purged within 30 days.
- Email request: processed within 7 business days; deletion is then completed on the same 30-day purge cycle.
